Please Note:
A CROS is not a hearing aid - it transfers sound from one ear to the other. A CROS requires a compatible hearing aid on your better ear to receive the sound. Signia CROS is only compatible with Siemens Signia hearing aids.
Hearing sounds from both sides
With the new Siemens Signia CROS or BiCROS solutions, people with un-aidable hearing loss in one ear can hear every word, even when the person speaking is standing on the “wrong side”. The new Signia CROS Pure Transmitter on this ear picks up the sound and wirelessly transmits the processed signals to a Signia hearing aid on the other ear. If this other ear can hear normally, this is referred to as a CROS solution.
If the other ear is also affected by a hearing impairment, the Signia hearing aid based on the most recent technology platform delivers the combined and amplified sound from both sides. This solution is called BiCROS.The new solutions offer even more benefits to people with unilaterally un-aidable hearing loss.
