Not all health insurers will cover the cost of hearing aids, so it's important to check your cover. When considering private health insurance:
- Ensure hearing aids are included in extras
- Take note of any waiting periods
- Check how much money you're likely to get back
- Find out whether the cover for hearing aids is a one-off or whether you have regular cover, e.g. some insurers will only make one payment, while others will contribute to new hearing aids every 3 to five years.
