Revolutionary Rechargeable Hearing Aids
No more fiddly batteries.
Phonak has just released the world’s first ever hearing aid, the Phonak Audeo B-R, which features “a specifically designed built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery that provides 24 hours of hearing with one simple charge.”
Phonak has always made excellent hearing aids and been an innovator in the hearing industry. While other manufacturers such as Siemens and Resound have entered into the rechargeable hearing aid world, Phonak’s system has improved on the previous generation of rechargeable hearing aids.
Phonak’s rechargeable hearing aids use lithium-ion batteries which are the same type of batteries used in today’s most advanced mobile smartphones.
The new Audeo B-R hearing aids have improved in three key areas:
- Longer battery life, which means the hearing aids will continue to work well into the evening and night
- Shorter charging time, with a quick 30 minutes of charging the hearing aids will last for six hours
- No memory, this means you can charge the hearing aids for as long as you want or as short as you want without any long-term effects on the lifespan of the battery
The Phonak rechargeable hearing aids also come with smart charging options. The power pack, which is easily attached to the Phonak Charger Case, provides power for seven full charges of two hearing aids, ideal for short trips where no power source is available. In addition, Phonak offers a compact mini charger giving users full flexibility.
These next-generation Phonak Audeo B-R Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aids are first product family based on the new Phonak Belong product platform, which features a host of innovative technologies that have been created specifically to simplify the life of people with hearing loss. The new Audéo B hearing aids come in a new design and are available in 3 performance levels (B90, B70 and B50) and 9 colours.
Rechargeable hearing aids will offer a significant benefit for those whose arthritis makes changing batteries a very difficult task to perform, for those who simply forget to change their batteries and for those who have simply grown tired of fiddling with the small hearing aid batteries once or twice a week.
